Jeff specializes in the origination of financing for new construction developments as well as refinancing and repositioning of existing affordable multifamily housing projects for both seniors and families, and licensed residential healthcare facilities (i.e. assisted living and skilled nursing). Jeff’s focus includes identifying and structuring financing for project owners working under Bellwether Enterprise initiatives related to Green Communities and Senior/ Vulnerable Populations.
Jeff assists project owners with increasing capacity to “preserve” and “green” their respective multifamily, senior and residential healthcare facilities. When Bellwether Real Estate Capital merged with Enterprise’s Multifamily Mortgage Business in 2012, Jeff was appointed senior vice president. Jeff leads these efforts from Bellwether Enterprise’s national FHA/HUD loan processing and underwriting offices in Duluth, GA. Prior to joining Bellwether Enterprise, Jeff enjoyed 30-year career in real estate finance, specializing in the government insured/ guaranteed programs including HUD/ FHA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and USDA Rural Development with emphasis on the HUD/FHA programs.
Most recently, Jeff provided direct consulting services to target nonprofit housing providers in the area of capacity and preservation of affordable housing. Jeff’s prior loan production experience spans the arena of subsidized, affordable and market-rate rental housing and healthcare facilities utilizing tax-exempt and taxable construction and or permanent loan structures.
