Jeff’s history with Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae and FHA covers billions of dollars of successful financings over his 27 year career in commercial real estate finance.  At JLL, Jeff co-managed the production of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae transactions originated by the Real Estate Investment Banking platform.  He also managed the firm’s front end structuring team, which was responsible for preparing initial loan submissions to both GSEs.

Jeff joined JLL through its acquisition of Oak Grove Capital in November 2015.  While at Oak Grove, he directed the firm’s conventional multifamily production platform, with a focus on Agency debt originations. 

Prior to joining Oak Grove, Jeff was a senior vice president with Grandbridge Real Estate Capital where he directed the Agency lending programs and oversaw its affordable housing and seniors housing divisions.  Jeff joined Grandbridge when it was formed through the merger of Collateral Real Estate Capital and Laureate Capital. 

Product Expertise

Jeff’s primary product expertise is the financing of all forms of conventional multifamily properties.  Additionally, Jeff has been involved with the direct production, underwriting and management of teams that delivered several hundred million dollars of debt originations on manufactured home communities, almost a billion dollars of seniors housing production, and several hundred million of affordable housing transactions.


Jeff graduated magna cum laude from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a concentration in finance.


Jeff is actively involved in several industry groups, including the National Multi-Housing Council, the Mortgage Bankers Association, and the Alabama Center for Real Estate’s Leadership Council. Jeff was named by the Birmingham Business Journal as one of the Top 40 Under 40, and was a member of the MBA’s Future Leaders Class. He is also actively involved in civic duties, having served on committees at Birmingham’s Children’s Hospital and the Birmingham Museum of Art.
